Modern physics, including quantum mechanics, remains completely materialistic and reductionistic while being consistent with all scientific observations. Because the energy content of atoms is restricted to certain discrete values (page 57), an assault of considerable energy is needed to jolt them out of their normal state, and afterward they return quickly and precisely to normal. As he says; .. some things that satisfy the rules of algebra can be interesting to mathematicians even though they don't always represent a real situation. (Feynman) This explains why he had such success and such failure at the same time, as he had the correct spherical wave structure of Matter, but he continued with two further errors, the existence of the particle, and the use of vector 'electromagnetic' waves (mathematical waves of force), rather than using the correct scalar 'quantum' waves.

If one attempts to interfere with the virtual particles, one collapses the quantum behavior and gets a classical scattering. Now this property of waves, that the length of the wave train times the uncertainty of the wave number associated with it is at least $2\pi$, is a property that is known to everyone who studies them. A metronome at one end of the device pushes and pulls the end of the slinky at a constant frequency. And again, I don't think that was the first thought of the people that developed the transistor.

Overtones are the other frequencies besides the fundamental that exist in musical instruments. This suggests they share the same underlying principle. When the wave function is squared (that is multiplied by its complex conjugate) it gives the probability of finding the object that is described at any given location. Remember that light travels at the speed of light! We call it the “Epistemic Separability Principle,” or ESP for short. The key eﬀect of this constraint is that both masses rotate about the axle with the same angular frequency ω. The various parts of a cycle are described by the phase of the wave; all waves are referenced to an imaginary synchronous motion in a circle; thus the phase is measured in angular degrees, one complete cycle being 360°.

The same kind of wave-particle duality occurs for electrons (or other types of matter: neutrons, protons, atoms, ...) and photons. And how big is $\Delta\theta$ in the spread-out pattern? How the wave guides the particle is described by a new equation that is introduced to accompany the standard Schrödinger equation. The problem for QED is twofold; Firstly, there is the Problem of 'Renormalisation' - Feynman must assume finite dimensions for the particle, else the spherical electromagnetic waves would reach infinite fields strengths when the radius of the spherical electromagnetic waves tends to zero. The fixed time variable and energy constant had been hidden in Planck’s “action” constant, and so it was not apparent to Lewis or others that what they were calling the ‘”photon” was actually a time-based quantity of light energy, which relied on a fixed and arbitrary one second measurement time interval.

By 1704 Newton had published his treatise “Opticks” in which he proposed the corpuscular theory of light, namely that light is composed of tiny particles that travel in straight lines. If it didn't exist, black holes would eat up stars and eventually become 100% dark energy in the universe. One could try to define a universal wavefunction which in principle describes the entire universe. De Broglie wrote: “After long reflection in solitude and meditation, I suddenly had the idea, during the year 1923, that the discovery made by Einstein in 1905 should be generalized by extending it to all material particles and notably to electrons.” At the beginning of the twentieth century physicists explained physical phenomena in terms of particles like electrons or protons and electromagnetic radiation like light, ultraviolet radiation etc.
