This was approximately 1/2 mile of track being realigned for this project. The pictures below were taken on a job done by my Dad and his official crew on the Southern Pacific Coast Line near Chatsworth and on the railroad's Ojai Branch in 1953. The last run by any D&H steam locomotive was on July 21, 1953 and the last of the Challengers went to the scrapper in August of that same year.
